Preparations
- Food, we might have breakfast before we go. Lunch will be on top. [Bring yummy, easy-to-eat, high energy food. Fruits are good too. Banana. Juicy orange.]
- Water. (At least 3litres of Water. Bring 1 bottle of 100 (1.5L) plus if you can.) [Water is very very important. Bring more than you need. do bring packets of oral rehydration salt (ORS) if you want to mix it in your water to prevent cramps. We'll leave a bottle in the car for drinking after we return.]
- A change of clothes. [we can leave this in the car, to change when we return]
- Rain Clothes [Rain coat, in case it gets windy and wet and cold.] (If u can't stand hiking in the rain). We'll pray for good weather. [Amen]
- Leeches. [You mean, bring salt to get rid of leeches. But the salt is only to get the leech off after it has already bitten you. Consider it a blood donation lah. If the weather is dry, there will be fewer leeches.]
- Camera if you want to take pictures. [wrap it in plastic bag or Ziploc]

- Hiking Shoes (no slippers please)
- Bring your mobile phone, make sure it's fully charged.
- Bring a small torchlight, just in case.
- Bring a whistle if you have one.
- Pack everything in plastic. Ziploc your phone if you want to be extra safe.
- Wear light colours. It's easier to see you in the thick jungle.
- We need to be realistic. If we can't reach the top within 6 hours, we'll turn back coz we don't want to hike out in the dark.
